Africa Trip Leader
Arnold has been fascinated by the natural world since the age of five, when he accompanied his family as they worked in the safari industry. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management, he joined the African Wildlife Foundation as an assistant researcher for their Kilimanjaro elephants project and later for marine life on the Kenyan coast. Despite enjoying research and conservation work, the guiding side called to him and he became one in 2008, starting with a stint as a field guide and member of the conservation team in the heart of the great Serengeti ecosystem. Arnold also loves the ocean (his friends call him Samaki, a Swahili word for fish), and has scaled the slopes of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru several times. His adventures have taken him throughout Africa—all in pursuit of the joy and love of land and ocean.
